LG Chem to Showcase Advanced Materials at FAKUMA 2026
LG Chem will participate in FAKUMA 2026, a trade show focused on plastics and processing technologies. The company will showcase high-performance, high-value-added material solutions, including materials for AI data centers and robotics and high-performance breathable films.
LG Chem said Oct. 6 that it will take part in FAKUMA 2026, which will be held in Friedrichshafen, Germany, from Oct. 12 to 16.
FAKUMA is a trade show specializing in plastics and processing technologies, with a focus on injection molding, extrusion and thermoforming. It is considered one of the world's leading plastics trade shows, attracting major global materials companies and European manufacturers.
More than 1,600 companies from about 40 countries will participate in this year's 30th edition, including German injection-molding company ARBURG, French high-performance engineering plastics company Arkema and Swiss plastics-processing company MAAG.
Demand for lightweight, high-performance materials that can replace metals has risen sharply in Europe amid electrification and environmental policies. LG Chem plans to use its participation in FAKUMA 2026 to strengthen its presence in the European market and propose material solutions to customers.
LG Chem will set up a 70-square-meter exhibition booth. The booth will feature engineering-plastics technologies for AI data centers and robotics, as well as bio-based materials and low-carbon solutions. More than half of the booth will be dedicated to meeting space for customer consultations and technical discussions. The company will also support customers with its proprietary Simulation Integrated Solution (SISO), which predicts and verifies material performance during the product-design stage.
